Adding a reliable electropop “feel” to songs like “BARREL OF A GUN”, “RUSH” or “NOTHING’S IMPOSSIBLE” isn’t an easy job… but I’ve tried my best to do this. At the same time, I think I’ve managed to balance the “beats-per-minute” with some pianos, slow strings and moody tracks like “THE BOTTOM LINE”, “SWEETEST PERFECTION” or the new version of “ONLY WHEN I LOSE MYSELF”.
Add a month of hard working and - in a few words - this was the basic scenario for the new DEVOTED. With songs from the early ’80s up to the second-to-last album, my fifth collection of DM covers is merely a tribute made by a fan for you.

It’s been over three months of hard working and now I’m happy to announce the new collection of fresh oldies!
“FRESH OLDIES V6: PIANOS FOR COLD DECEMBER” it’s out Friday 11th December 2009 and include songs from Alphaville, The Buggles, Coldplay, Keane, A-ha, Tears For Fears, The Cars, Phil Collins, Bryan Adams, Elton John, Berlin, Eric Carmen, Travis, Muse, Ten Sharp & The Beloved.
Even if we can talk about soft rock, britpop, alternative, new wave or synthpop - all tracks have in common “the already knew” combination of electronica and classical with a grand piano as a lead “vocalist”. Is this alternative electronica or what?!
Until the end of this week you can listen “VIDEO KILLED THE RADIO STAR” via MySpace page or the entire new album @ Last FM.

Finally, this is my “altered” ego: a combination of hard beats, analog synthesizers & pianos, classic or recent masterpieces reinterpreted and own songs.
From distorted uptempo to a-sort-of-trip-hop, this is an album of psychedelic electronica with a synthpop “twist”.
Anyway, you’ll recognize the classics songs from Ultravox (”Lament”), New Order (”Your Silent Face”) or The Cure (”Prayers For Rain”) and I’m sure that even “Your Empty Smile” and “Letters From The Past” aren’t so far away from the originals “Run Like Hell” (Pink Floyd) or “Chasing Cars” (Snow Patrol).

It’s been two years since my latest release with original creations… and this break will end in the second half of August 2009.

Today I present to you one of the best new tracks - MOON PIANO - a combination of the new musical direction and a “catchy” piano. This promo single is a good example of how the new album will sound: more distorted synths and less dream-trance.
The “B-Side” is a logical (imho) and exclusive sequel: my own version of CLAIR DE LUNE (CLAUDE DEBUSSY).

Back to work after two months of holiday trips and a couple of concerts in Bucharest (yes, I’ve seen Kraftwerk, Placebo, Moby, The Killers, White Lies, Franz Ferdinand, Polarkreis 18 & The Charlatans LIVE!).
By “work” I understand the final recording session of my new album and a series of live appearances @ INDIE CLUB in Bucharest. The DJ Sets will include new wave, synthpop, indie, alternative pop/rock & electronica (don’t forget to check the GIGS section or the first banner on the right sidebar for more details).
